Write That Novel Now. A 12-week novel writing course. What are editors loooking for? How can you increase the likelihood of getting published? Are you writing the novel you should be writing? Write Stuff A course in short fiction. Got ideas but don't know how to structure? No ideas but want to write fiction? Have written, but need a kick start? Using home and class exercises to learn how to plot and how to write and critique own and each other's stories in a friendly, safe and supportive environment. Plus how to mine your own tales. I have been teaching creative writing for some years now. I have a MA in Creative Writing and have had several short stories and poems published (see biography). I am now offering a reading/ critique service. For a fee I will read your work and offer you feedback which will help you to either hone your piece or prepare for publication.

MENTORING AVAILABLE

I am available for mentoring - please apply via email. There is funding for writers/ performance poets to pay a mentor per session. For details of funding contact ArtsMatrix in Bristol or your local Arts Council. I can mentor you as a writer, as a performer/ writer/ promoter, or any combination. Mentoring to be tailored to needs.


Writers Groups

I am available for writers groups to either give feedback on writing or to provide writing exercises and/or workshop tailored to your group's needs. My fee for this is £25 for an hour and £50 for 2 hours – plus expenses.

Schools and Community Projects

I have experience in teaching/ leading workshops in schools, at festivals, and as part of community projects (see biography). My fees are £200 per day and £100 per half day – plus expenses (or as agreed).
